Interested in the way humans position themselves in the world, both physically and conceptually, Greg Stewart creates “complex structures and absurd situations that offer imaginary solutions to migration and survival.” His show will include a small herd of animals that have evolved to grow fruit trees from their flesh. In addition to his sculpture, tools that have been created from the physical material of the animals as well as photographs documenting these animals in the environment will be on display, adding a temporal and pragmatic element to the exhibition.
