Lantern-Making Workshops & Community Lantern Parade

InLight Richmond 2016 will kick off with a Community Lantern Parade at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016.

InLight Richmond 2016 will kick off with a Community Lantern Parade at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016.

To participate in InLight Richmond’s Community Lantern Parade bring a lantern you’ve made at home, in one of our public workshops, or make one with us before the parade begins from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. We will gather at the corner of Clay Street and Altamont at 7 p.m. (look for all the lanterns) where you will receive an LED candle for your lantern. The parade will begin at 7:30 p.m. Please visit our About page for parking details.

OCTOBER and NOVEMBER
Lantern Making at The Children’s Museum
For the month of October, The Children’s Museum of Richmond is offering lantern making in the Art Studios at both the Short Pump, Chesterfield and Fredericksburg and Downtown locations. Lantern making is free with admission. Visit www.c-mor.org to plan your visit.

OCTOBER 15
Milk River Arts Lantern Making Popup at glave kocen gallery
1620 West Main Street, Noon to 3 pm
Lantern making for adult artists with developmental disabilities. Ages 18 and up.

OCTOBER 20
Studio Two Three printed lantern making workshop
Studio Two Three, 3300 West Clay Street, 5 – 8 pm
Print and assemble your own lantern at Studio Two, Three for 3rd Thursdays at S23. All ages.

Family Lantern Making Workshop
