February is here, and that means another First Friday! We are pleased to be hosting exhibitions both at our main gallery and at our satellite space at Richmond’s historic Linden Row Inn. Both locations will be hosting receptions open to the public from 6 to 10 p.m. on February 5th.
Opening at Linden Row is Art as the Mother Tongue: A Dialogue between East and West, curated by Richmond artist and 1708 board member Amie Oliver. This exhibition features work from artists from Australia, China, Ireland, and the US, and reflects the universal language of art. For more information, visit the event page.
On view at 1708 gallery is Matthew Friday’s The Liberty of Empire. This show features a site-specific, interactive wall mural. Fill out the questionnaire online or in person at the gallery to become part of the exhibition! To learn more, visit the event page.
